![]() On premise Exchange support has been on life support in the latest Outlook clients for roughly 2 years now, no new features, they will only allow plugins for the O365 version, on-prem shared mailboxes haven’t worked in the mobile versions for a while now, major bugs (eg. The new Outlook on Mac points to that being the only way to authenticate in the future, basically you will auth on the cloud and then get redirected to a local server. It will still integrate with Azure (O365) and so authentication for modern clients will flow through cloud authentication. That version will require a special subscription (probably more expensive than O365 to entice customers) and is effectively the last version of on-premise Exchange they will release. ![]()
